INCIDENT LOCATION: 89th Ave W & Concord
At 0350 this morning the Duluth Fire Department responded to report of a multi-unit storage garage on fire at 89th Ave W and Concord. Initial arriving crew from Gary reported seeing heavy smoke and fire coming from last unit to the south. Crews quickly knock the fire down and opened up adjacent units to search for fire spread. Fire was contained the one unit.
Fire crews from Gary, Spirit Valley, Lincoln Park and Headquarters were on scene for over an hour.
Damage estimate is $2,000 of contents including 1 vehicle.
Fire Marshal's Office is investigating this incident as arson unrelated to prior garage and vehicle fires earlier this summer.
No injuries were reported at this incident.
