Summer Rink Rat Program Adds Second Session

Parks and Recreation and Duluth Area Hockey Association (DAHA) have added a second summer session of FREE Rink Rat Hockey times. The following dates have been added in July and August at the Heritage Sports Complex:

Thursday, July  5, 4-5pm
Thursday, July 12, 3:45-4:45pm
Thursday, July 19, 4-5pm
Thursday, July 26, 3:45-4:45
Tuesday,  July 31, 3:45-4:45
Thursday, Aug  9, 4:15-5:15
Thursday, Aug 16, 3:45-4:45

These sessions are designed for children ages 6-11 who are interested in trying out the sport of hockey in a non-competitive, indoor environment with experienced adult interaction and supervision.  Each one hour session will include skill introduction and fun drills, followed by an informal game where players will be equally rotated in. Sessions areFREE, but are limited to 30 participants, with preference being given to first-time players. Some equipment is available for use but participants are encouraged to bring their own Helmut, elbow/knee pads and stick.  Please call 730-4388 for more information and to reserve a spot!
