Chester Creek Concert 30th Anniversary Season begins Tuesday, June 5th featuring

"McInnis Kitchen"

Celebrate Duluth's festive 30th Anniversary celebration of the Chester Creek Concert Series on Tuesday, June 5th at 7:00 PM. Mayor Don Ness will be on hand to open the special festivities with a special anniversary address.

The special featured event to celebrate the 30th Anniversary Chester Creek Concert Series performance season will be headlined by Duluth's very own internationally acclaimed Celtic band McInnis’ Kitchen. Their traditional music is inspired by the Celtic music from Ireland, Newfoundland and the Canadian Maritimes. McInnis’ Kitchen uses this diverse mix of Celtic cultures and traditional music to shape the sound that has become uniquely their own in the industry, endearing audiences everywhere they perform. Their trademark sound features fiery double-fiddling, heartfelt ballads and the fun reminiscent of a downhome kitchen party. They have been headlined internationally at festivals and concerts and have appeared on television and radio in the US and IN Canada.

McInnis' Kitchen will be joined on stage by their special guests, the Duluth Scottish Heritage Pipe Band who will add their music to the special occasion, and provide the opening pageantry to the event.

McInnis' Kitchen features:

Mark Monroe - fiddle
Chuck Butler - fiddle | button accordion
Sue Spencer - vocals | guitar | button accordion
Jim Ofsthun - vocals | bodhran | guitar | whistle | accordion

McInnis’ Kitchen concerts transcend performance and evoke a special world of traditional culture and storytelling, giving their performances the feel of a traditional downhome kitchen party. Their performances bring energy, fun and a sense of Celtic cultures from places like Ireland, Newfoundland, and Cape Breton.
