INCIDENT LOCATION: 1117 E 4th St
Eighteen Duluth Fire firefighters responded to a report of a fire in a vacant house at 1:32 a.m. this morning. Firefighters arrived at 1:35 and found large flames visible in the front living room windows. Firefighters forced open locked doors and quickly searched for victims and extinguished the fire before it spread beyond the room of origin. Firefighters found no occupants in the building. Smoke damage was extensive on the first and second floor. Damages are estimated at $20,000 to the building and $500 to contents. A fire investigator responded to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
