SUBJECT: Public asked to comment on Indian Point Campground Improvements

Public asked to comment on Indian Point improvement plan.
Parks and Recreation is asking citizens to share their opinions about the proposed improvements to the Indian Point Campground on the City of Duluth Parks website. The City of Duluth approved a comprehensive Parks Master Plan in February of 2011. The people of Duluth, as part of the Parks Master Plan process, stated the need for additional park resources in the western section of Duluth. Among the proposed improvemnents to the Indian Point Campground are: development of an ADA accessible trail, play area improvements such as new open turf, playground, picnic areas, volleyball, bocce and horseshoe courts.
To access the Parks and Recreation online public input form go to www.duluthmn.gov/parks click on "citizen input form". Citizens will be able to submit their opinions until October 22, 2011.
