Parks Commission Endorses Parks Referendum as
“Critical to Restore Funding to Maintain and Improve Duluth Parks, Trails and Recreation Facilities”
The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Commission voted unanimously at its August 11, 2011 meeting in favor of the following Resolution, supporting the approval of a Parks and Recreation Fund Referendum at the November 2011 election:
“The Parks and Recreation Commission supports the approval by the Duluth City Council of a Parks and Recreation Enterprise Fund Referendum for the November 2011 election, noting that holding such a referendum in 2011 is an integral part of the Parks and recreation Master Plan approved by the City Council in January of 2011. Passage of such a referendum is critical to restore funding to maintain and improve Duluth Parks, Trails, and Recreation Facilities”
