Parks and Recreation to make presentation at Lakeside-Lester Park Community Annual Meeting Tuesday, June 28th
Parks and Recreation officials will meet with Lakeside-Lester Park Community Club members at their annual meeting on Tuesday, June 28th. The meeting which will serve dinner at 5:30 will be highlighted by a 6:15 PM discussion of design options for the new Lester Park playground. This is the city's ongoing effort to continue to upgrade playgrounds with new and exciting playground structures.
The Parks and Recreation public input meeting originally scheduled for Portman Community Center on Tuesday, June 28 has been moved to the Lakeside-Lester Park Community Center's annual meeting. The Lakeside-Lester Park Community Club (the old Lester Park library building) is located at 106 North 54th Avenue East.
The City of Duluth completed a comprehensive Parks Master plan in December 2010 and is completing a Trails and Bikeways Master Plan later this year. The people of Duluth, as part of the Parks Master Plan process, stated the need for additional resources on the city's parks and trail/bikeways systems. The City would like to know what you love about the city's parks and trail/bikeways system and how do we build a parks and trails/bikeways system that we can afford. In addition the City would like to find out from the public what you would like to see invested in and completed if there were extra resources/funding available.
The final public input meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at the Morgan Park Community Center located at 1242 88th Avenue West
