Aerial Lift Bridge Deck Replacement Project Completed Ahead of Schedule

 

[Duluth, MN] - The Aerial Lift Bridge will be reopening both lanes to traffic for the Tuesday morning commute, two weeks before the original estimated completion date. The new decking is in place and the contractor is removing equipment and barricades today. The deck was last replaced about 60 years ago. This project cost about $300,000. The City anticipates repainting areas of the Lift Bridge in the near future.
