Last Sunday, Duluth Fire Department responded to a fire at Lester Park Elementary school playground in the evening hours on June 11, 2017.  The first fire company on scene was 6 Engine and quickly extinguished the fire.  One piece of playground equipment was damaged by the fire.  The fire is under investigation by the Duluth Police and Fire Departments.  Anyone with any information should call the Arson Tip Line at 1-800-723-2020 or the Duluth Fire Department at (218)730-4397.  Information leading to the identification of the persons responsible can be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.  The reward is offered by the Minnesota Chapter of International Association of Arson Investigators.
