City of Duluth Hiring Events Planned

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is making summer plans already! With 30 seasonal positions open in parks and street maintenance, the City is hosting several hiring events next week targeting those individuals 18 and older who enjoy working in Duluth's great outdoors in a team setting. Individuals will find great pride in caring for and beautifying City park lands, streets, sidewalks and other city owned property. The City has increased the wages to $12 an hour, a $1.50 bump from previous years. Employment will be from May to August.

Interested applicants will be interviewed on site. This opportunity presents great potential for skills development and possibly lead to future full time employment with the City or other employers. Selected individuals may also have a chance to obtain a commercial drivers license and will learn new skills that build on individual and team success. Interested adults are welcome to attend and apply.

The Hiring Events are planned for:

Tuesday, March 1st, 9:00 a.m. to Noon
Lake Superior College (Career Services in the Student Resource Center - Room E1011)

Tuesday, March 1st, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
UMD (Kirby Commons - Across from the UMD Bookstore)

Wednesday, March 2nd, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
