National Conference on Public Employees Retirement Systems (NCPERS) Group Decreasing Term Life Insurance Open Enrollment

The annual NCPERS Group Decreasing Term Life Insurance open enrollment period will begin October 1, 2014, and end November 30, 2014.  If you do not enroll at this time, you will not have another opportunity to enroll until NCPERS announces the next open enrollment period.  Plan information and enrollment forms can be found at the links below.

Only PERA members (regular full‑time and regular part-time employees) who are actively at work are eligible to purchase additional term life insurance through NCPERS.  The insurance will take effect January 1, 2015, with no medical evidence requirements. Coverage for eligible dependents is included in the $16 monthly premium.  If you are not a current participant in the plan and you do not enroll by November 30, 2014, you will not have another opportunity to purchase coverage until the next open enrollment period announced by NCPERS.  Please note members who are currently enrolled in the NCPERS Group Decreasing Term Life Insurance coverage do not have to do anything to continue participation.
